As an out-of-network practice, we do not accept insurance directly. However, we can submit receipts with the necessary codes to your insurance company on your behalf. Your insurance company will send you any reimbursement owed, as per the terms of your policy.

Do You Take Insurance?

In-network practices survive by packing therapist schedules. Most therapists see at least two clients per hour and have very little time to plan for those clients. To make matters worse, in-network practices are often staffed with unlicensed graduate students and/or Clinical Fellows. They are still learning how to be therapists and require supervision. What level of therapist are you looking for?

Problems with In-Network Care

Staying out-of-network allows us to provide specialized services that are difficult to find elsewhere. The enhanced level of care we offer includes:

  • Short wait times for evaluations and therapy

  • Extended 40-minute appointments

  • Appointments in the afternoons and evenings that don’t conflict with school or work schedules

  • A strong match between your child’s needs and our therapist’s skills

  • A consistent and well-trained therapist with advanced training… no substitute therapists, graduate students, or clinical fellows

  • Excellent communication with you and others you select (e.g., teachers, physicians, etc.)

Often, clients get reimbursed for our top-tier services and have a final cost similar to what they might have paid at an in-network clinic after factoring in deductibles, copays and coinsurance.

Benefits of Out-of-Network Care

Wonderful! No need to reinvent the wheel or ask your child to participate in the process again. If the report provides clear scores in the area of concern and is less than one year old, we will likely accept it.

I Already Have an Evaluation

$300 | Targeted Evaluations answer specific questions and support next steps when concerns are already well understood. Families choose this option when they want to use their out-of-network benefits, but do not have evidence of standardized testing within the last year.

Targeted Evaluations include brief testing, a Report of Scores, and a Results & Planning Conference during which we will review the results and agree on goals for your program.

Targeted Evaluations

$1400 | Comprehensive Evaluations dive deeper, answer broad questions, and provide a more complete picture of complex issues. Families choose this option when they’re not sure what is going on or when the path forward is unclear.

Comprehensive Evaluations include extensive testing, a highly detailed Evaluation Report, and a Results & Planning Conference during which we will review the results and agree on goals for your program.

40 minutes, $160 | Single therapy sessions are available, but most of our clients don’t choose this option…

Families who prefer occasional or short-term support may choose to schedule single sessions, one at a time, based on availability. However, the majority of clients benefit most from enrolling in a program designed to support ongoing growth over time.

Single Session Rate

Cheerful Chatter is built around consistent, relationship-based work rather than isolated sessions. For that reason, most families participate through program enrollment, which offers a predictable schedule, continuity of care, and a structured path for progress.

Program enrollment allows families to:

  • Secure a consistent weekly appointment for the duration of their program

  • Participate in a thoughtfully designed care plan

  • Receive a lower per-session rate through structured participation

  • Experience better outcomes through continuity and repetition

  • Take the summer off while still securing their time in the fall

Program Advantages

During the school year, we offer programs of 9, 18, 27 & 36 sessions. These terms coordinate with most quarterly marking periods, afterschool activities and sport schedules. This allows families the flexibility to choose one time in the fall and a different time in the spring — all the while keeping services consistent and more affordable.

Summers are a bit different. Because camp and travel schedules vary so much, we offer programs of six summer sessions that can be scheduled as you see fit.

Program Enrollment

40 minutes, $130-150 per session | Programs are secured with a nonrefundable deposit equal to roughly 40% of the total. Balances are due before the term begins. Payments can be made in-person or via invoice.

We are able to process HSA and FSA transactions and are happy to try that method first…

However, those processors like to see diagnostic and treatment codes which cannot be included in the electronic funds transactions. Many of our families have found better success using traditional cards for payment and then submitting our statements to their HSA or FSA carrier for reimbursement.

Do you accept HSA & FSA cards?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover and ACH bank transfers. We also accept mobile wallets/apps such as Cash App Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

We do not add a surcharge for use of these payment methods.
