Good news! Your plan may already include out-of-network benefits! If it does, you may be reimbursed for a portion of the cost.
We will automatically email you superbills after appointments if a diagnostic code is available. You can submit them yourself through your insurance carrier’s website or submit them through Thrizer for a small fee to make the process effortless.

In-Home & Daycare Therapy
60-minute sessions — $190
Therapy at homes and daycares is limited.
In-home and daycare appointments are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings in Haddonfield and select nearby communities. A 60-minute appointment may be split between siblings. View our travel area here.
Therapy can be scheduled in one of two ways:
Standing Reservation: Your child’s appointment time is reserved for them each week and timely cancellations receive a free make-up credit. Best for families who want a consistent weekly time.
Session-by-Session Booking: Families schedule appointments through our secure client portal up to two weeks in advance. Best for families who need more flexibility.

Speech, Language & Social Skills Evaluations
Understanding your child is the first step toward helping them.
Evaluation fee — $500 per area of concern
Evaluations focus on one primary area of concern. Examples include speech clarity, spoken language, written language, or social communication. During your consultation, we will discuss your concerns and priorities and determine which evaluation best meets your child’s needs.
Evaluations include individualized testing and a clear, detailed written report summarizing our clinical findings, recommendations, and initial treatment goals.

Sometimes -- and previous testing can be genuinely helpful when it is a good fit. It may also prevent your child from repeating testing unnecessarily. If you would like us to consider a previous evaluation, please upload the complete report before your consultation or bring a copy to an in-person consultation.
An IEP or 504 Plan alone is not enough because we need the underlying testing and clinical findings.
During the consultation, we will talk about when and why the testing was completed, discuss whether a Records-Based Clinical Review makes sense, and decide on the most appropriate next step.
A Records-Based Clinical Review is $200. This gives us the time to read and interpret the report carefully, pull together the information that is relevant to your child’s current concerns, and document what it means for treatment.
Sometimes the review shows that the report does not contain enough relevant information to establish treatment needs and goals. In that situation, a Targeted or In-Depth Evaluation may still be needed. The Records-Based Clinical Review and any later evaluation are separate services, each with its own fee.

Yes. We evaluate for and diagnose childhood apraxia of speech through an In-Depth Evaluation.
Childhood apraxia can be difficult to distinguish from other speech sound disorders. The evaluation therefore looks beyond which sounds your child can or cannot say. We examine how your child plans and sequences speech movements, the consistency of speech errors, rhythm and stress patterns, and how speech changes with different types of support.
After the evaluation, we will explain whether the findings support childhood apraxia, point to another type of speech sound disorder, or indicate that more information is needed before a firm diagnosis can be made.

Some speech-language pathologists diagnose dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other written-language disorders. At Cheerful Chatter, we have chosen not to offer these evaluations because reading and writing difficulties do not always occur in isolation.
A comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation can examine attention, memory, executive functioning, processing speed, cognitive abilities, visual processing, and broader academic skills in addition to language and literacy. Because we believe this more complete learning profile provides the strongest foundation for diagnosis and treatment planning, we refer families to a neuropsychologist for this type of assessment.
